Hello From Montevideo Fiesta,

The 80th Fiesta Days for June 2026 is proud to be the official kickoff for the USA 250th year celebrations. Please plan to fly an American Flag on your home and business the entire week of Fiesta.
​
The days of having 40+ people on a volunteer board are no longer. People are busy and commitments are many. Yet we all agree it is important to have a proud and fun hometown celebration. This year we will be leveraging the many groups within our community. We have already reached out to several, and we are being well received.
​
Along with teaming up with community groups, we are also bringing in charities to our many events. As an example, our Legion Riders will be supporting a Veterans Suicide Prevention fund for our motorcycle rally on Saturday June 13th. A motorcycle ride for Fiesta probably only gets 30 bikes, while a good charity for Veterans will bring out several hundred riders from up to 100 miles away.

As it is a new day we will be adding some exciting new events. As well as dropping or adjusting some prior events. We can announce a coaster car soap-box derby down 2nd street hill, ages 6 to 100. We have a group of coaches and their teams looking to help with a Wednesday sports night of volleyball, basketball, tennis, pickle ball, underwater swim, cannon ball splash, and soft ball home run derby at the outdoor swimming area (Windom Park). Heritage Hill is teaming with Fiesta, the fly-in is expanding, and we have many new things happening all week long. Royalty events are being handled by a separate focused group, and you can reach them at montevideofiestaroyalty@gmail.com. They would appreciate your help.

The Thursday community picnic is 100% family focused, especially for the little kids, and will have little kid carnival activities (ring toss, face paint, fish booth, cake walk, etc.), kiddie parade, petting zoo, fitness challenge (teenagers), bouncy houses, and will be the kickoff of an ALL CLASS REUNION. The Friday night block party is expanding and will host our Alumni for a rocking street dance with fireworks.

If you are a Mohawk or Thunderhawk Alum, please reach out to us, to help get the word out to fellow classmates. We want 500 Alum.
